Fighting back the Urge
\nTo purge these words and
\nErase myself again
\nIs uphill or bigger at times
\nBut I sit and type anyway
\nDenying the frailty I face on a
\nBlank page
\nThe sadly sad sad paper glaring white and
\nUnmarked
\nBut for these mad ravings
\nThe alcohol blurring my
\nArt like
\nSmeary skies or
\nwet sugar
\nor kisses in the sand
\nGritty but bearable and
\nLingering
\nCurse my art
\nAnd its demand but keep it as a
\nSacred Lover
\nI walk with it like all great passions
\nThin lines between Love and Hate and
\nBanality
\nWisps of real
\nReal
\nMeaning spin out on occasion but mostly everything is
\nAutistic
\nGenius hidden in the
\nMoronity
\nFlowers in the
\nManure
\nShafts of light
\nPiercing storm clouds for seconds barely seen by
\nNaked eyes
\nYet still the words flow
\nI hope Mankind will find them someday
\nHidden in clay pots in mountain caves and
\nBrought forth into the light
\nTurned this way and that and beamed with
\nRadioactive isotopes
\nAnd creating wonder and puzzlement and questions of
\nCreation and in my long gone grave my long gone bones will
\nLaugh
\nKnowing it was all just a
